You asked for it, so here it is! A complete do it yourself thanksgiving tablescape, just in time.
I paired with a few local vendors that helped make this table just incredible!
The first step to creating a perfect tablescape is to determine a certain theme, color scheme or inspiration. I really have been loving everything botanical lately. I really wanted to incorporate different real food elements of fall such as pears and squash. My main color for the table was a bright squash color. I found this gorgeous velvet runner in that very color at home goods. Those of you who know me, know I can’t resist the velvet.
So after finding my starting point on the table (the runner), I started to build the focal point of the tablescape. I bought a few butternut squashes from my local grocery store as well as some pears for each place setting. Molly grace makes, did calligraphy phrases on pears! What a fun medium to work with. After compiling all these fun pears in the center I placed this beautiful floral centerpiece from Berry Branch Design. She really does some of the best floral pieces!
You always want to create your center before setting all the place settings. For the dishware, I wanted to keep with the earthy theme and found these imperfect round clay plates from Target’s Magnolia market line. I like to mix and match and have a variety of plates on each tablescape. Wooden flatware (also from target ) worked perfectly in keeping with my natural theme. For each place setting, I set a dinner plate, salad plate, dinner fork, salad fork, knife and spoons, one water goblet, one juice glass and to complete the look, mini breadboards.
So there you have it, the perfect Thanksgiving tablescape for your family dinner. Of course, no one would know about your beautiful table if you didn’t send out some of these lovely invites, designed by JKF Design co.
