Kerri Lynne’s Business Refresh Workshop
When my dear friend Kerri approached me about helping plan + design her Business refresh photography workshop, I was SO excited! Not only did I get to work with one of my close friends but also got to be back in CNY and work with some of my favorite vendors.
Brainstorming ideas for a theme + color scheme for the styled shoot portion was a breeze. I had just recently gotten back from a vacation to Iceland and was SO inspired by all the stunning landscape and natural elements I had witnessed. I couldn’t wait to get my hands one designing an Iceland inspired wedding! Come the The day of the workshop, the weather could not have been more like Iceland! Rainy, 50 degrees and extremely windy (so please excuse some very crooked candles, it was inevitable).
For anyone who is looking for their next vacation destination, I HIGHLY recommend going to Iceland! The country has so much to offer from icy blue glaciers, picturesque rolling green hills, breathtaking views of waterfalls, craters, volcanic activity, geothermal hot springs, and of course, the Blue Lagoon. If you’re lucky you can also see the Northern lights. We saw them our second night there. We were staying at a very secluded Air B&B with no light pollution, which is key to successfully experience the northern lights. This was probably one of my favorite parts of the whole trip. Iceland has so much to offer I cannot say enough good things about it. These are just a few of the MANY amazing things about this country.
I included a few iPhone pictures here that I took while we were there to show a little bit of my inspiration. This shoot leaned more on how the country looks during the winter time. I wanted to focus more on the elements of ice, the patterns in craters and rocky structures, pops of icy glaciers and aqua blue water against the white snow, and all the unique natural textures that completely surround you.
